The Holy Cross of Davao College warmly welcomed Roisin Hayes, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia at University of Limerick in Ireland, as she paid a visit to the institution last October 8, 2023.
HCDC is University of Limerick’s first international academic partner in the Philippines, and the visit of Ms. Hayes served as a venue for both institutions to explore opportunities under the Erasmus+ framework for cultural and academic exchange, among others.
HCDC President Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C., along with the Head of Center for Linkages, Internationalization, and Language Studies Ms. Sheryl Urdaneta, Institute of ASEAN-European Studies (IAES) Coordinator Ms. Lulu M. Cayon, IAES Focal Person Ms. Hazel Mey G. Arozado, Head for Center for Research Mr. Kevin Bonotan, Institute of Davao Studies Focal Person Rhys Lloyd D. Lacia, and Director for Finance Ms. Melanie P. Layague graced the event at the President’s Boardroom.
The institution also took great pride in exploring the local area, the Kadayawan Village and Poblacion Market, and showcasing the diverse range of culinary delights. During her visit, she expressed a keen interest in immersing herself in the Filipino culture and experiencing the unique flavors of our cuisine.
Ms. Hayes expressed her enthusiasm for the “richness of our traditions and culture” and highlighted the “vibrant community” of Davao City.
HCDC continues its commitment of trailblazing in the international academic arena providing students with better opportunities in the EU and the rest of the world.
