Gender Equality

The Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program conducted a thought-provoking and empowering session at Tonne Duc Thang University (TDTU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, titled “Gender Roles and Social Norms in Southeast Asia.” The half-day session convened students from HCDC and TDTU who were participating in a two-week Educational and Cultural Exchange Program, fostering a dynamic environment for dialogue on critical social issues.

Advancing Gender Awareness and Cross-Cultural Learning: HCDC at Ton Duc Thang University.

Ms. Patricia Rose Tabat of HCDC’s Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program conducted an empowering session at Ton Duc Thang University on gender roles and social norms in Southeast Asia. She addressed the region’s deeply entrenched patriarchal customs and stressed the critical need for awareness and dialogue to promote gender equality and social reform.
