Overview

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) at Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) plays a central role in ensuring the academic excellence and integrity of the institution. It oversees and coordinates all academic-related programs and activities across all Tertiary and Graduate School departments. Rooted in HCDC’s mission and vision, the VPAA Office ensures that all academic initiatives align with the institution’s goals, policies, and Christian values. It works closely with academic leaders and support units to deliver quality education and service to students, faculty, and the wider HCDC community.

Goals of the VPAA Office

The VPAA Office strives to:

1. Ensure the school’s vision, mission, and core values are communicated and embraced by new faculty and staff during orientations.

2. Promote a work environment grounded in Christian values, excellence, and customer satisfaction.

3. Recommend and supervise the development of new academic programs in response to emerging needs.

4. Monitor and evaluate academic, non-academic, and support programs to meet local and international standards.

5. Implement and uphold school policies on student retention, promotion, and discipline in line with HCDC manuals and handbooks.

6. lead in the consultation, projection, and preparation of the institution’s academic budget and review fee adjustments.
