Holy Cross of Davao College Seals Partnership with the Archdiocesan Social Action Center.
On February 26, 2025, the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), through its Social Action Office led by Jeralyn Palero, Ph.D., formalized a partnership with the Archdiocesan Social Action Center (ASAC) under the leadership of Fr. Leonardo Dublan Jr., Director of ASAC. The memorandum of agreement marks a collaborative effort that strengthens the role of academic institutions and faith-based organizations in advancing community well-being.
The partnership will strengthen the implementation of the second wave of the “Sagip Kinabuhi Program”, a flagship initiative of ASAC that provides holistic interventions for drug reformists in Davao City. As part of this collaborative effort, HCDC will extend its expertise in counseling, case management, and psychosocial support, ensuring that program beneficiaries are guided not only toward rehabilitation but also toward reintegration into society as productive citizens.
By combining the academic and professional resources of HCDC with the grassroots initiatives of ASAC, the program represents a comprehensive approach to addressing one of the country’s most pressing social challenges. Beyond rehabilitation, it fosters opportunities for healing, empowerment, and renewed purpose among individuals who are striving to rebuild their lives.
This engagement demonstrates HCDC’s commitment to extend the role of education beyond the classroom—integrating academic knowledge with real-world impact while fostering social responsibility, inclusivity, and collective well-being.
