On May 31, 2025, students of the Graduate School Program of the Holy Cross of Davao College, under the Master of Arts in Education major in Physical Education, conducted an assessment and benchmarking activity on the physical education programs and facilities of Mt. Apo National High School, located in Barangay Sibulan, Toril District, Davao City.

The activity aimed to evaluate the current state of physical education activities and facilities in the school, serving as a basis for identifying areas of improvement and potential interventions that may be provided by the graduate students. This academic engagement not only enhanced the research and analytical skills of the MAEd students but also laid the groundwork for a long-term and sustainable partnership between the College and the public school.

Beyond the academic component, the MAEd participants also demonstrated social responsibility by distributing food and drinks to selected students of Mt. Apo National High School, strengthening bonds with the community and creating a more holistic learning experience. A total of 22 graduate students took part in the initiative, reflecting the College’s commitment to advancing education, fostering community collaboration, and promoting holistic well-being.
