Ahead of the upcoming International Conference on Multidisciplinary Filipino Studies (ICMFS), scheduled for December 9–11, 2026, and organized by the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo (UHH), USA, in partnership with the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), HCDC President, Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C. and Head of Link-In & LS, Ms. Sheryl Urdaneta have welcomed Dr. Rodney Jubilado, Chair of the Division of Humanities and ICMFS Coordinator at UHH, and discussed preparations for the conference.

The ICMFS 2026, which will be held at HCDC, serves as a key platform to foster collaboration and scholarly exchange among local, regional, and international scholars, practitioners, students, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders, while promoting meaningful dialogue and a deeper understanding of key issues, events, and processes affecting Filipinos, and establishing a lasting legacy of scholarship on Filipinos in the Philippines and the diaspora.

The meeting highlighted the continued strengthening of the academic partnership between HCDC and UHH, which began in April 2022.
