
The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) program under the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management Education (CHaTME) of the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) was recognized by the Department of Tourism – Region XI (DOT XI) for completing the 30-day Regional Youth Tour Guiding Immersion, a first in the entire Philippines.
The completion of this immersion marks a significant milestone for the HCDC-BSTM program, highlighting the institution’s strong commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance, and youth empowerment in tourism education. The program, supported by the Commission on Higher Education – Region XI, provided students with valuable industry-oriented training and experiential learning aligned with national tourism standards.
The 30-day immersion was participated by BSTM students Jhosel May Ceballo, Athea Deles, Desiree Ferrer, Rhienje Preciados, Fharied Schwarz Samal, and Samantha Tallorin, who were also present during the graduation ceremony yesterday (December 14, 2025), along with Dr. Ginalyn P. Yretarino, Dean of CHaTME, and Denzen Louriz Palanas, MM, Program Chairperson of the BSTM program.
This accomplishment serves as a testament to the readiness of the HCDC-BSTM students to serve as future tourism ambassadors of the region and the country.
