The Bachelor of Arts (BA) students of Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) embarked on an enriching three-day educational tour in Manila from November 25–27, 2025. Students from BA History, BA Political Science, and BA English Language Studies visited several historical and cultural sites, deepening their understanding of the lessons they encounter inside the classroom.

The tour began visiting the historic district of Binondo, where students explored the Chinatown Museum and Binondo Church, gaining insights into the early influence of Chinese communities in the Philippines. A major highlight was the visit to Malacañang Palace, where students learned about the country’s presidents and reflected on the leadership timeline of the Philippines. The day concluded with stops at San Agustin Church and Fort Santiago.

On the next day, they toured Manila’s premier museums. The students visited the UST Museum, where they viewed religious artworks and historical pieces, including the chair used by Pope Francis. They continued to the National Museum of History, Anthropology, and Fine Arts, exploring artifacts, cultural collections, and masterful artworks that reflected the richness of Filipino identity. Many students shared how these museum visits helped them visualize historical narratives and cultural traditions in a more meaningful way.

For their last stop, they went to Ayala Museum, where interactive exhibits and detailed historical dioramas offered a modern and engaging learning experience.

Throughout the tour, the BA students demonstrated curiosity, respect, and eagerness to learn. The educational trip provided a valuable opportunity to connect theories from their courses with real-world settings—reminding them that understanding history and culture is essential in shaping the future.
