A renewal of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Holy Cross of Davao College and the Star of the Sea Ship Management was signed to facilitate programs such as students’ training and internship opportunities with the College of Maritime Education (CoME) on July 18, 2022 at the HCDC President’s Boardroom.

HCDC President Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C. led the signing of the agreement with the Star of the Sea Ship Management Administrator Dr. Julius O. Varquez.

The event was witnessed by the HCDC administrators including the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Teresa P. Fabiania, Vice President for Operations Mr. Rommel F. Momo, Head for Linkages, Internationalization, and Language Studies Ms. Sheryl J. Urdaneta, Director for Finance Ms. Melanie Layague, CPA, On-Board Training Supervisor 2M Gil B. Bartolome, CoME Laboratory In-charge, Capt. Roberto V. Salcedo, and Lead Assessor Engr. Hyde A. Rendon.

Dr. Varquez bared the Star of the Sea Ship Management is not only limited to an apprenticeship program for the maritime students but they also encouraged cadets to pursue being an officer or crew on board the vessel.
