The Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) is taking a significant step toward global academic collaboration with its recent visit to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in Karnataka, India. The visit aimed to expand international partnerships, open opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, and enhance academic programs through cross-cultural learning and research collaborations.

Leading the delegation was HCDC President Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C., joined by Dr. Teresa P. Fabiania (VPAA), Engr. Gernante O. Polestico (ICT Head), and Ms. Sheryl J. Urdaneta (Head, Center for Linkages, Internationalization, and Language Studies). The team was welcomed by MAHE’s International Office, which provided them with an in-depth tour of the university’s top facilities, including the Experience Theatre at the Welcome Centre, the Medical Sciences Library, the Manipal Museum of Anatomy and Pathology, the KK Hebbar Gallery and Art Centre, the Marena Sports Complex, and the Culinary Museum.

The visit also featured academic discussions with faculty and department heads from the Department of Languages, the Department of Philosophy, and the Center for Intercultural Studies. Talks focused on joint research, exchange programs, and collaborative projects, reinforcing HCDC’s commitment to academic excellence on a global scale.

The delegation capped off the visit with a scenic stop at Malpe Beach in Udupi, where they witnessed the iconic sunset—a fitting symbol of new horizons in HCDC’s internationalization efforts.

With collaboration plans now in motion, this visit marks a new chapter in HCDC’s pursuit of academic innovation, global engagement, and stronger ties with international institutions.
