Collaboration talks continued on day two, January 23, 2025, of the HCDC delegation’s visit to MAHE. The HCDC delegation started the day with a tour of the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA). In India, WGSHA is ranked no. 1 in hotel management studies, and ranked 26 in world ranking, which produced several world-renowned Chefs like Vikas Khanna. 

The HCDC delegation also met with the Department of Commerce.  After this, the team proceeded to meet the team of the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) MAHE’s flagship program, and the biggest in terms of student population.   MIT has impressively produced notable alumni like Mr. Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. 

The day concludes with a meeting with the top executives of MAHE, lead by Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M.D. Venkatesh, the Vice Chancellor of MAHE, along with Dr. P. Giridhar Kini, the Registrar of MAHE, Dr. Narayan Sabhahit, Pro Vice Chancellor of Technology & Science, and Dr. Anup Naha, the Director of International Collaborations. The highlight of the meeting was the exchange of MOU between the HCDC President, Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C. and Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M.D. Venkatesh, the Vice Chancellor of MAHE.

With the conclusion of the familiarity visit, HCDC and MAHE can now move forward with the implementation of the agreement, as both parties work together on meaningful and impactful undertakings, in the service of humanity.
