The competitive spirit was once more on display as two New Crusaders won in the 32nd Council of Management Educators and Professionals in the Philippines (COMEPP) National Competition held at the University of Cebu – Banilad Campus last October 21–22, 2022.

Business Impromptu Speech representative Kristian Lloyd A. Laidia (Second Year) and Business Spoken Word Poetry representative Richard Karl L. Responso (Fourth Year), both Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Major in Marketing Management Students ended as 2nd Runners-Up in their respective events, along with their coach Dr. Mary Richelle L. Boholano.

“I am grateful that I am able to represent Holy Cross in the way I can prove something. Proud pud kaayo ko [nga] gikan ko’g Holy Cross,” Laidia said while expressing his joy after his victory in the competition.

He continued by expressing his pride in himself and revealing how competitive the HCDC’s BSBA program is on a national scale.

Meanwhile, Responso said he was very proud of himself as he was able to bring yet another award for HCDC.

“It is hard to put this feeling into words. It is a huge honor for me to receive this award. This award makes me feel good, proud, happy and delighted. Itong award na’to ang nakapag-boost sa akin, sa aking career, sa lahat,” Responso said.

Additionally, Responso thanked Boholano and BSBA Program Chair Dr. Lorribelle Ocenar for bolstering their confidence.

“For me, itong award nato, nagsisilbing patunay na kung sino ako, ito yung mag-rerecognize sa hard work patungo sa tagumpay na naabot ko,” Responso added.

Laidia also revealed that he was elected as the Business Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) National President.

“It is a good avenue for me to promote something and I know na ang BMAP Holy Cross… this is the advocacy of Holy Cross,” Laidia said.

With this year’s theme, “Advanced Trends in Business and Management Practices: Enhancing and Reconfiguring Knowledge Among Academics and Industry Partners in the Rapidly Changing World,” the conference aims to revitalize and educate the academic sector on business administration techniques and innovative marketing strategies.
