The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) conducted an orientation for their TeachSTEM scholarship program at Holy Cross of Davao College for their Mindanao leg. The program aims to empower educators and students in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through scholarships and capacity-building initiatives.
The orientation, led by Mr. Luis Miguel C. Consad, Senior Program Officer of GBF, provided comprehensive insights into the scholarship program. Attendees, including undergraduate and Grade 12 students from Communal National High School specializing in STEM education, and faculty members, participated actively in the session.
The highlight of the event was the partnership between HCDC and GBF, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This partnership is poised to bring about transformative changes in the education landscape of Davao City.
During her closing remarks, HCDC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Teresa P. Fabiania expressed her optimism about the future of STEM education in Davao City. The event was graced by HCDC President Br. Noelvic H. Deloria, S.C.
