Fresh from their international educational trip in Bali, Indonesia, the 19 students of the Holy Cross of Davao College return to the institution with pride and honor after rendering three weeks of educational and cultural exposure to its partner institution, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha.
To commemorate their enlightening experiences, the students took part in a captivating live-streamed talk show titled “Paglayag: The HCDC Global Learning Experience” on May 30, 2023. During the show, they eloquently shared their profound encounters, shedding light on the rich culture, educational practices, and warm hospitality they experienced in Bali.

“I am still in awe to think that I was able to travel to Bali, together with the offer of the Holy Cross of Davao College to join this educational and cultural exposure. And it still [feels] surreal that I was able to experience what has happened in Bali within three weeks, with that I have nothing but gratefulness to the Holy Cross of Davao College,” Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Intern Janica P. Gierran said.
She added that the relationship they had with the people whom they worked with seemed like they had known each other for a long time.
Moreover, Amabelle Kaye B. Labiaga, an intern from BS Social Work shared her insights about the experience.
“The educational and cultural exchange was really an enriching journey. It allowed me to give depth to what Bali has to offer, and with that, the thing that I liked the most while staying in Bali are the people’s sincerity and hospitality, from their warm greetings, kindness, and willingness to ensure that our stay there [is] pleasant, including the staff at the education hotel, our student buddies, our mentors supervisors, and particularly UNDIKSHA, they really went out of their way to ensure that our comfort there is very good,” she said.
The talk show was skillfully hosted by Multimedia Assistant and BA Comm Instructor Mark Kinlee Ocay, alongside Link-In & LS Focal Person Hazel G. Arozado. The program aimed to celebrate the achievements of the students and their parents while educating the Holy Crossians about the invaluable global learning experience.

The event was graced by the presence of the interns’ parents, who also expressed their deep appreciation for the college’s provision of international educational exposure to their children.
HCDC Global Learning Experience provides not only lifelong learning and skills, but also forming strong connections and acquaintanceship among the neighboring countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and across the globe.
