Cadette Loren Jhaine B. Langitan bested 30 other Maritime aspirants, as she grabbed the spot for the first round of the HCDC-Erasmus+ Student and Faculty Mobility Program with Lithuanian Maritime Academy. The screening process was spearheaded by the HCDC Erasmus+ Coordinators at the Center for Linkages, Internationalization & Language Studies (Link-In & LS).

Cadette Langitan is a 3rd year Bachelor of Science Marine Transportation (BSMT) student of the College of Maritime Education (CoME). She was able to meet the criteria as specified under the implementation rules and guidelines of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. She also showed her passion and commitment during the panel interview. Among the many things which impressed the panelists is the fact that she is a working student, who works hard to support herself through college while serving as a student leader at school. Additionally, she hails from the Mandaya community in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, with Mandaya as her native tongue.

This Erasmus+ Student and Mobility Program with Lithuanian Maritime Academy will run from 2022-2027, and HCDC hopes to send more students and faculty to Lithuania, and other parts of Europe in the next couple of years.

Mabuhay ka, Cadet Langitan! (Link-In & LS)
