Admission Policy
1. Admission to the Holy Cross of Davao College, Inc. is granted with the definite understanding that the student and his parents or guardians agree in writing to comply with the scholastic standards of the school, its rules and regulations.

2. The school reserves the right whenever necessary to deal with violations in accordance with the Christian system of discipline and guidance. The right to dismiss any student of poor scholastic records or undesirable conduct unbecoming of a Catholic student or for violation of school rules, regulations, and policies is likewise reserved to school authorities.

3. A student can be admitted to Holy Cross of Davao College, Inc. if he/she can comply with certain conditions.

Incoming Freshmen

He/She should pass the school's Entrance Examination.

Transferees

He/She should pass all his/her subjects in all grading periods in the previous scholastic level; has never been involved in any activities which are detrimental to the name of the school; and must pass the school's Entrance Examination.

Old Students

He/She should pass all his/her subjects, In case a student fails in any subject; he/she is obliged to take summer classes. Should he/she fail in summer classes, the school will advise him/her to transfer.


4. Generally the school does not accept transferees to the fourth year. However, exemptions maybe granted on the following conditions:

- Transfer of residence
- No grade below 80% in any subject in any grading period in the previous scholastic level
- With exemplary behavior
- Must pass the school's Entrance Examination

5. Students who are retained in a year level are not admitted.

Enrollment Procedures
Freshmen

1.   a. Present credentials to the Guidance Counselor.
       b. Take the Entrance Exam.
       c. Secure a note for interview.
       d. Go for interview.
       e. Get a note approving payment of enrolment fees.

2.    a. Pay enrolment fees at the Cashier's Office.
       b. Secure an official receipt of payments.

3.    Present all admission requirements to the Registrar and secure an official Registration Form.

4.    Accomplish Official Registration Form

5.    a. Seek the signature of the following
                      · PTF representative
                      · Prefect of Discipline
                      · Guidance Counselor
                      · Principal
                      · Registrar
        b. Pass to the Registrar the accomplished Registration Form duly signed by the
            signatories and secure admission slip.

Old Students

1. Present admission requirements to the Screening Committee for academic and     behavioral evaluation.
2. Secure a note of approval to enroll from the Prefect of Discipline.
3. Proceed to Cashier's Office for payment of Registration and other fees.
4. See the Registrar and present the following:
               - Receipt of payments
               - Admission requirements
               - Note of approval to enroll

5. Accomplish the Official Registration Form and seek the signature of the following:            
                - PTF representative
                - Prefect of Discipline
                - Guidance Counselor
                - Principal        
                - Registrar |
6. From the Registrar, obtain the admission slip to be presented to the adviser during      the first day of classes.

Transferees

1. Present Certificate of Good Moral Character and Report Card to the Screening     Committee for academic and behavioral evaluation.
2. Secure a note of approval to take the entrance examination from the screening      committee chairman.
3. Take the entrance examination at the Guidance College.
4. Get a note for interview
5. Go for interview and get a note approving payment of enrollment fees.
6. Proceed to the Cashier's office for payment of enrollment fees. Secure an official      receipt of payment.
7. Present all admission requirements and official receipts of payment to the Registrar.
8. Accomplish the Official Registration Form and seek signature of the following:
          - PTF representative
          - Prefect of Discipline
          - Guidance Counselor
          - Principal
          - Registrar
9. From the Registrar, obtain the admission slip to be presented to the class adviser     during the first day of classes.

Rules Governing Official Registration
A Student is officially enrolled only if he has submitted his enrollment credentials before the end of the approved enrollment period. However, the department considers enrollees even after specific period of enrollment but will not exceed two weeks after the opening of the classes (pp.36-27,MRPS, 8th edition, 1992).

Students should be enrolled only under their true and correct names. No name should be entered in the Enrollment List and in the Promotional Report other than appearing in the birth certificate and admission credentials.

Request for correction of names should be supported by a birth certificate (original copy) and/or three Photostatic copies of parents' affidavit and joint affidavit of two disinterested persons.

No student is allowed to transfer from one school to another during the school year especially in the case of the students who are expected to graduate (pp.36-27,MRPS,8th edition, 1992).

Withdrawal of Enrollment
A student who wishes to withdraw from his enrollment must apply for it at the office of the Registrar. If this will be done while the enrollment is still going on, a student may be refunded 90% of the amount he has paid.

Refund of the withdrawals after the enrollment period will be covered by the policies on Student fees.
Rules Governing Request for Transfer Credentials
A student is permitted to request transfer credentials under valid reasons only after the second grading examination. He must surrender his I.D. card and pay the charges, which cover the preparation of his transfer credentials and in the forwarding of records to the school to which he will transfer. He must be cleared from all his liabilities in school.

He will be granted a certificate of good moral character, certificate of eligibility for transfer and a copy of his transcript of records (Form 137-A) for evaluation purposes (only for the second year and third year students).
Student Accounts, Exam Permits and Discounts

Student Accounts

1. Financial obligations of students are settled in the finance's office. Guidelines are as follows:

  • Registration and miscellaneous fees must be paid upon enrollment.
  • Tuition fee is charged on a yearly basis. This may be paid in full upon enrollment or in ten (10) installments according to a schedule determined by the finance office.

2. Refund of Fees and full charge of fees is covered by the Manual of Regulations for Private Schools.

3. When a student enrolls in a school, it is understood that he is enrolling for the entire year. A student  who withdraws or drops from the school must inform in writing the finance's office. The student, however, may be charge.

  • Ten(10%) percent of the total amount due for the year if he has withdrawn/dropped within the first week of classes;
  • Twenty (20%) percent of the total amount due for the year if he has withdrawn/dropped within the second week of classes;
  • Hundred (100%) percent of the total amount due for the year if he has withdrawn/dropped after the second week of classes.

Examination Permit

  • Examination permit will only be given after payment of tuition fee.
  • If the student is unable to pay the tuition, arrangement shall be made by the parents with the Controller.

Discounts

  • Cash discount of 5% is given to full tuition paid upon enrollment.
    Family discounts
  • The following discounts are given to legitimate and/or legally adopted children:
             3 members - 25% on the tuition of the youngest
             4 members - 50% on the tuition of the youngest
             5 members - 75% on the tuition of the youngest
             6 members - 100% on the tuition of the youngest
