ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR THE GRADUATE SCHOOL
The Graduates School enjoys a dramatic 20% increase in population this school year 2004-2005. MA in Special Education takes the strongest lead since the Department of Education (DepEd) added another batch of scholars for teaching the impaired. This does not include the more than 200 students in the Ignatian Institute of Religious Education (IIREF) now offered by the Holy Cross of Davao College. Applied this school year are Thesis and Non-Thesis programs for Master of Science in Commerce major in Marketing and Master of Management. General Science is now applied as additional major in MAED program. Of interest is the intensive consultation services to the graduate school students without fee for preparation of their thesis. Thus a great harvest is reaped this year as ten (10) students graduated from their respective programs last March and May 2004.

HIGH SCHOOL:
A center of Catholic formation
        Over the years, the high school has become a dynamic academic community. Since its recognition the school has served thousands of students not only from Davao but from neighboring provinces and islands as well. It has graduated a number of students who are presently professionals and are successfull in their chosen vocation be it in the field of education, business, politics, medicine, among others. It has seen its alumni's active participation in community development not only in Davao City but also in other parts of the country.

        In its aim to continue giving quality education to its clientele, the High School Department took steps towards becoming an accredited educational institution.

       Becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the City of Davao, HCDC High School will continue to respond to the challenge of the times to become a center of catholic formation for young men and women.

GRADE SCHOOL COPES WITH TODAY'S DEMAND
       The Prof. Herman Gmeneir School-Holy Cross Of Davao College, Grade School Department located at SOS Drive, Bajada, Davao City is built by the SOS Kinderdorf International which gives HCDC the authority to handle its management thru the effort of the late Msgr. Antonio Ll. Mabutas.

       True to its mission, the school is committed to promote quality education, excellence and service. It established time in upgrading academic programs and services to the community and to the poor. Aware of the need to provide quality education, it applied for a PAASCU (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges & Universities) accreditation. As a result, it was accredited last May 31, 2000. The Grade School department received various awards in academic and cultural fields through outstanding participation of pupils in civic and community outreach programs. The school provides a computer laboratory to enhance their skills in the use of computers.

        The school strives for academic excellence and strong value formation. It is proud of its graduates who have shown exceptional skills in academic, arts and sports locally, nationally and internationally.
And above all, the catholic foundation they got from HCDC is reflective in them today. The school hopes to continue molding the youth into Christian leaders who have deep faith in God.

From Faith to Truth

Lyrics: Arnulfo Ramos, (BSE'87)
Music: Elsa Corbit (BSE '89) and Judith Alderete

In the placid town of trees and seas;
They came to spread the word of love and peace;
Amidst the hills of gentle light. The school is built
in red and white

CHORUS:
Hail Holy Cross of Davvao College
From faith to truth you lead us all.
Forever we'll uphold your dreams.
HCDC Fly high with your mighty name.

The Filipino heritage you give;
Your ideals and hopes we defend.
Making us instrumnets of change.
That's the legacy of HCDC. (Cho)

Now your youths are bravely marchong on.
Symbolic of our nations very hope.
As dwelling of wisdom in the southern seas.
You stand firm with Christian dignity.
(Cho.)

Bridge:
Alma Mater dear we journey with you.
Your victory our strength we carry through.
To announce the Good News we'll always be.
Making us happy Christian family.
(Repeat Chorus one fret higheer)

TFASP: Making real more the school's mission
              Generation of resources for the scholarship of an increasing number if less fortunate students.

              This is the rationale behind the Holy Cross of Davao College Trust Fund for Alumni Scholarship Program (HCDC-TFASP) in bringing the Alumni together for a common cause.

               The project offers the Alumni the oppurtunity to realize and perpetuate the commitment to the mission as true Holy Crossians - to serve others especially the less fortunate.

              Upon the realization of the program managed by the College and Guidance Coordinator in coordination with the Treasurer of the School, it will be able to expand the scope of its scholarship opportunities, even truer to its inscisors as a Filipino, Catholic, Archdiocesan educational institution.

              The scholarship which can be accorded to an incoming freshman who is financially in need but is deserving coveers free tuition, regular and other school fees. An applicant can qualify only if he/she meets the criteria and other requirements that come along with the scholarship.
