PORT OF DAVAO prefers HCDC Customs graduates, say
In the Port of Davao, over 90% of customs brokerage practitioners are alumni of Holy Cross of Davao College. This proves that the Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration (BSCA) Program of HCDC is the best and the most dependable in the production of customs brokers.
In the CHED Diagnostic Visit on June 10, 2004, the department garnered the highest score of 92% from among the three schools in Davao City offering BSCA.
In the 2002 Licensure Examination for Customs Brokers, HCDC placed 4th and 9th producing more passers while it got the 9th place and produced two (2) more passers in 2003.
The program is giving the students the best education and training, initiating activities such as seminars, fora and educational trips for them to apply the theories learned from the program.

   BSLIS BRIEF HISTORY AND UPDATES
The Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) is highly recognized to be among the country's top performing library schools as manifested in the Licensure exam results. In 1999, HCDC ranked 18th; 14th in 2001 and 11th in 2002.
Thanks to its strong faculty line-up who are all practicing librarians for enriching the students the theories on library
science and exposing them to actual experience in librarianship training.
HCDC Library Science graduates who have acquired a license and even those who have just graduated from their bachelor's
degree are already employed as librarians or as library in-charge in different major institutions.
ANGELITA BISARES
BSLIS Program Head
Presently, in order to prepare library science graduates to hurdle the PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) Board Examination for Librarians on November 3 and 4, 2004,an in-house review is being conducted (every Sunday only) starting August 22, 2004 until the first Sunday of November, 2004. The review is open to reviewers who have graduated from other institutions.

SEVEN HURDLE SOCIAL WORK BOARD EXAM FROM 1ST BATCH
From the meager thirty-two (32) enrollees in 2000, the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) enrollment has grown gradually year-to-year. This has ballooned to 219 this school year. 2004 is a year of harvest for the department as it produced the first batch of Social Work graduates.
FE SINSONA
BSSW Program Head
Out of the 14 examinees who took the Board Exams given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), seven successful Board Passers from its first batch of 24 passed to wit; Joicy Nor Sabedo Bahinting; Helen Palmera Berou of Manay; Myrna Cusgapa Sartiga of Tugbok; Cherry Comence Villan of Mawab; Julie Anne Moreno and Riallin Magante.
These successful Social Workers are the contributions to the plethora of Holy Cross of Davao College alumni who are now
scattered here in the Philippines and abroad. Out of the 59 Social Work schools, HCDC ranks No. 17 in the top 20 list.

BSMT MERITS PACUCOA LEVEL 1 NOD
The Maritime Education Program (MEP) of Holy Cross of Davao College successfully passed the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) level 1, adding to the ISO 9001:2000 and Det Norkse Veritas (DNV) accreditations the school earned in the previous years to make HCDC-MEP the first in the region to acquire such status.
CAPT. ANTONIO CERMINO
BSMT Program Head

Shipboard Training Officers (STO), 3/M Raymond G. Bautista showed that MEP had a 33% placement rate as of February 2002 with regular tie-ups from a Zamboanga-based other shipping companies.A 77.77% passing rate of the recently concluded 2004 Licensure Examination for Deck Officers also marked the success of this program.

In order to produce competitive graduates, the MEP conceived a pilot class known as the Project Alpha in 2002 which had produced top caliber cadets to bring HCDC'S name to fame in the entire region. 3/M Jerry Namoc was among the cadets who had shown outstanding performance and was then granted a scholarship to train in Japan. Jason Caraoa (Project Alpha 2003) also made it to the top in the training conducted by NOL vessel from a Singaporean based principal. Recently, Joel Escobal (Project Alpha 2004) emerged as the most outstanding cadet in the National Cadetship Training conducted by the Magsaysay Shipping agency in July.

The BS Marine Transportation (BSMT) has gone far from its pioneering 74 graduates of School year 1995-1996 up to its 136 graduates of the school year 2003-2004. The program is continuously developing to achieve its goal of producing quality and globally competitive graduates based on Christian values making HCDC the first, if not the only catholic institution that offers Maritime Education in the country.
