The Holy Cross of Davao College takes its rightful place in Goldilocks Cake Battle Grand Finals after making it in the Top 10 under the Advanced Category during the 13th Inter-Collegiate Goldilocks National Cake Competition Semi-Finals last January 29, 2019 at the Shooting Gallery Studio, Makati City.
The team behind the triumph consists of instructor and students under the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management Education namely Instructor and Chef Raymond Miñoza and students Alea Nicole Padora, Dave Mirafuentes, Francis Ceniza, Ailene Inguito and Vinze Arcel Morial.
The HCDC Team designed several cakes during the said competition and their winning masterpiece, “Mother Nature”, rewarded them their success which was inspired by Mother Earth, a personification of nature that focuses on the life-giving.

“For this upcoming grand finals, we keep on practicing every day because honestly, we are not just aiming for the grand prize. What we are aiming for is to have a good output, clean and elegant masterpiece”, Mirafuentes said.
The Goldilocks Cake Battle Grand Finals will take place on March 16, 2019 at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. (Chriscelyn Jane Gabalunos, CrossTV Student Volunteer)
