All in the service of the Church!

Fortifying its identity as an archdiocesan college and being an arm of the Archdiocese of Davao, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Archdiocese Social Action Center (ASAC) formalizing their partnership for the Sagop Kinabuhi Program 2.

The Sagop Kinabuhi Program 2 or SKP2, a 17-week long community-based rehabilitation education and extension services for drug reformists is a result of the discussion among Davao City’s clergymen and will officially be the archdiocese’s response to the urgent call of solving the social problems brought about by drug addiction.

Mr. Lino A. Suñer Jr., head of the HCDC Community Extension Services (CES) Office said that the Holy Cross of Davao College through the CES office will be serving the Archdiocese of Davao in helping drug reformists get back on track after voluntarily submitting themselves for reformation.

This prompts the participation of various programs in the institution as Dr. Ma. Iris A. Melliza, HCDC President, challenged the program heads, faculty members and students to work in developing an initiative that will further the reach of assistance and effectivity of the said program.

Rev. Fr. Leonardo A. Dublan, Jr., the ASAC Director said that their partnership with HCDC will strengthen the program since HCDC, as an educational institution, has the capacity and linkages in the community through its established CES programs and activities.
